This fund consists of money provided by individuals, charities and organizations to purchase items that have not been donated, but are needed by a child.
Thank you to everyone who participated in Giving Angels 2011! We had a tremendous response and are so thankful for all who helped to make Giving Angels so special!
What is Giving Angels?
Giving Angels is a program in which individuals, organizations, groups and corporations provide gifts for a child in need during the holiday season. Hannah’s Treasure Chest asks that a minimum of four (4) gifts be purchased for each child. We recommend that two of the gifts be items the child needs, like a coat or clothing, and that two of the gifts be fun, like toys, games or books.
How do I sign up?
To sign up, call the Hannah’s Treasure Chest office at (937)438-5039.
How can I participate in Giving Angels?
When calling, please be ready to let us know if you want to assist a single child, a family, or put up a Giving Tree in your business. Also, please let us know if you have a preference for a boy or girl or specific age. For families, please let us know the family size that you are interested in helping. For a Giving Tree, we would need to know approximately the number of employees participating. We give 1 angel for every 3 employees.
When does the program start and end?
Program sign-up begins in early October. You will be matched with a child or family. The profile for your child will be sent to you by Thanksgiving. We ask that wrapped gifts be dropped off at our office in Centerville no later than December 5th.
Are there other ways to help?
Volunteer to pick up or deliver gifts – Gifts need to be picked up from our corporate partners during the first week of December. This is a huge task and one that takes a lot of coordination. We also deliver care packages to social workers, daycare centers, etc. If you have a car or truck and would like to assist us in pick-up or delivery, please call the office at (937)438-5039.
