Hannah’s Treasure Chest was proud to lead Ohio in National Diaper Need Awareness Week, an effort organized by the National Diaper Bank Network that gained recognition from 26 governors, 4 legislatures, and 94 municipalities across the country – including our own Governor John Kasich, the Ohio Senate, and the mayors and council members of 10 Ohio cities.
From September 28 to October 4, several groups and local businesses held diaper drives and handed out Diaper Facts to their employees and the public. In addition, Representative Niraj Antani helped add to the conversation around #DiaperNeed on social media.
The effort not only brought in donations of over 3,000 diapers, along with potty training diapers and baby wipes, but caused people in the community to take action by volunteering, donating and organizing their own events to support Hannah’s Treasure Chest and our efforts to eradicate #DiaperNeed.
We are very grateful for the outpouring of support and engagement from everyone who helped make Diaper Need Awareness Week so successful in Ohio (and nationwide). We look forward to an even bigger and more exciting effort next year.
Our sincere thanks to:
Governor John Kasich and Lt. Governor Mary Taylor for your proclamation recognizing Diaper Need.
